B i o g r a p h y

Crystal Kim began her piano studies at the age of six and graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in piano and voice performance at the University of Georgia's School of Music and Emory University. She also has a Master of Music degree in Music Technology from NYU.  Crystal has a unique and rare craftsmanship of doing both music teaching and audio production.  As Crystal's foundation is classical piano and voice, she got much of her development from participating in many prestigious festival and conferences, such as the Mannes International Keyboard Festival, New Paltz International Keyboard Festival, Brevard Music Festival, and the Music Teachers' National Associations' Conference.   Crystal is also well versed in various musical genres from classical, rock, and pop.  She even performs with the rock orchestra group called Symfinity. She is also active as a singer/songwriter for rock/pop genres.  Currently she teaches and maintains a private studio of her own in New York. In addition, she does audio engineering and production professionally for various albums ranging from classical, jazz, pop, and rock. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of music and production skills and has taught many students from ages 4 to adult at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels.
